Pakistani Twin sisters, Zara Khan, and Zenubia Khan have become Microsoft’s Power Platform Certified professionals at the age of 10

Making them among the youngest to acquire prestigious Microsoft certified professional credentials. And also the youngest twin pair in the world to pass Power platform certification.

Power Platform: is a citizen developer platform that enables organizations to build applications and solve business process using automation and Artificial intelligence.

Both sisters started building interest in software applications during the covid-19 lockdown; listening to their father working from home. Their interest started with asking many questions about how the technology works, reading about computers, and learning basic programming from self-help websites. While the school resumed: –

  • They continued to build on their interest in programming.
  • Starting replicating application building experience from the web in their free time.
  • And Build expense management solutions for their father.

This is where the family decided to give power platform certification. And started preparing them for the certification using material available on the internet. After 6 months of preparation, during school holidays Both appeared for the exam and passed it successfully.

It is worth mentioning that both sisters had no access to mobile devices or laptops till the age of 8 despite their father working in the technology industry.

As for the next steps, both wish to continue their journey and technology and eager to contribute to education. They wish to use technology to enable the acceleration of the education of teens. They hope that their story inspires more kids especially girls to take up an interest in IT.
